This is the first phase of M. Tech Project, to be taken in the second semester.
Topics or current research interest v/ill be discussed; The topics may be
chosen from the following areas; Program scheme; Verification and
correctness of programs; Program optimization. Languages and
grammars; Complexity of computations. Coding theory; Scheduling
theory; VLSI - Theory.
Introduction to performance evaluation of computer systems; Concepts of
modeling; Probability and statistics; Distributions; Queuing systems;
Solution techniques; simulation approach to performance analysis;
models for time sharing systems; models of local area and wide area
networks.
