The course is aimed to serve as an introduction for graduate students (and 6th semester UG/DD) to CFD using primarily finite volume methods. The students will be offered an insight into the solution methodology for problems related to fluid flows that are governed by hyperbolic PDEs. The students will learn algorithms and write programs to numerically solve flows with discontinuities like shock waves and contact waves that occur in high-speed compressible flows.
