The objectives of the course on “Reservoir engineering” are i) to impart knowledge of the fundamentals of fluid flow and transport of water and oil to enable characterization of petroleum reservoirs in complex subsurface formations; ii) to estimate the petroleum reserves and iii) to give an exposure to enhanced recovery techniques for petroleum extraction using modeling techniques.
